The Scouting Association: 1936-38

An agreement was reached between the Llanfrechfa Property Company and the Scouting Association in 1936 to enable Grange House to be used as a residential Domestic Training Centre for Boys.  The centre, funded by the Ministry of Labour, aimed at providing domestic work skills for unemployed youths.  The images below are of the boys hanging washing in the courtyard between the house and the Walled Garden and the Drawing Room of the house being used as a classroom.
